Whether this works depends on the graphics chipset(s) you have in your Mac. Please note, as an alternative to Display Capture, you may try using the Window Capture function. If you have multiple displays, select the output display you want to use. If you want to stream a capture of your screen or video input (or both) you can add these as well.Ĭlick the + button at the bottom of the Sources window to add a new Display Capture source, you can keep the defaults and click OK. ![]() If you're only streaming audio, you can skip ahead to Step 8. Select Soundflower (2CH) from the Device drop-down. If the track plays backwards, your L and R input connections are reversed - simply swap them and it will play normally.Ĭlick the + button at the bottom of the Sources window to add a new Audio Output Capture source, you can keep the defaults, click OK. The DDJ-RR has an input-type selector switch on the back of the unit that sets both inputs as PHONO or CD/ LINE you can not use one of each. Click the DVS icon in the preferences window and check the box beside Enable DVS Function.Ĭlick the Audio icon and select the newly created RR+Soundflower aggregate as your Audio device. Open rekordbox, and open the Preferences. ![]() In the right window, check the box beside DDJ-RR, then check the box beside Soundflower (2ch). It CAN NOT contain the word "DDJ-RR" or rekordbox will recognize it as that device and the additional outputs will NOT be available. With your DDJ connected and powered-on, open Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup - if the Audio Devices window is not visible, click Window > Show Audio Devices.Ĭlick the + icon at the bottom left and select Create Aggregate Device.Ĭlick on the name Aggregate Device and rename it RR+Soundflower. Step 3 - Create an Aggregate Audio Deviceīefore powering-on your DDJ-RR, be sure to set the PC MIX switch (on the rear of the unit) to ON. You can also use other similar applications such as Sound Siphon or Loopback, but those are both paid apps and Soundflower works, and is free, so why not? There is just one extra tool necessary for us Mac users: If you are using a DDJ-RR without DVS, the instructions are slightly different please see the this guide.Įnsure that you are running the latest version of rekordbox, that your drivers and firmware are up-to-date, and that your broadcast software is current as well. ![]() Please check the DDJ section of the Knowledge Base for additional tutorials.
